Inside the experience.
One city. Two realities. The only way home is through each other.
The public telephone rings after the exchange has closed. Your missing sister says she is still in the city—and that you are the one who left. Mirrorcity: The Other Side of You is an asymmetric two-player mystery where each person holds a different version of the same place.
Why it needs two players
Ellis and Rowan receive separate five-page packets. You share one computer, keep your records private and describe discoveries your partner cannot see. A route that makes sense on one side may be incomplete on the other, and actions in one reality change what becomes available in the second.
What you actually do
- Trace a city route through conversation rather than sharing one master map.
- Turn a paper exposure mask to reveal information your partner must interpret.
- Reconcile conflicting records across three acts and twelve scenes.
- Coordinate the Echo Line rescue and make choices that change later evidence and rescue options.
The story leads to three possible endings and a printable record of your ending. It is a fixed mystery with consequential choices, not a procedurally generated campaign.
