Download & Setup Guide

A little preparation, then another world at your table. Choose your game for its exact files, print settings and start instructions.

Start with your download

  1. Download your purchased files. Use the download entry provided with your order. If the download email is missing, check Junk or Spam for “Your downloads are ready”.
  2. Extract the whole ZIP. On Windows, choose Extract All; on a Mac, double-click the ZIP. Keep the game’s files and folders together. Do not play inside a ZIP preview.
  3. Follow the guide for your game. Paper size, tools, opening files and save controls vary. Read those requirements before printing.

These are digital downloads. You supply the computer, printer, paper and listed tools; no physical kit is shipped. Downloading requires an internet connection. Keep a personal backup of your purchase.

Crown Night

1 adult · English · 8 US Letter player sheets
Complete edition 1.0.2. Download your purchase and extract the complete ZIP into one folder. Read Read-me-first.txt; keep Solutions-SPOILERS.html closed until you want full answers.

Print all eight pages of Print.pdf on ordinary opaque US Letter paper, single-sided, grayscale, at Actual Size / 100%. Bring a pencil and a flat space for two sheets. One marked fold is required; no scissors or glue. The ash test is fictional and already done in the story: do not heat or burn your printout.

Open Night-Office.html on your desktop or laptop with JavaScript enabled. Chrome on Windows 11 is the target setup. Keep Pages 5–8 face down until the story asks. The extracted game works offline; downloading requires an internet connection.

The characters respond in writing. Use the three hint levels for each investigation when needed. There is no automatic save: keep your recovery code and use Resume. A code restores a completed checkpoint and clears unsubmitted entries and your private closing note; copy notes you want to keep.

If a file does not open, check that the ZIP has been fully extracted. Open Print.pdf directly if needed. For help, email hello@goodtokeep.com with Crown Night 1.0.2, the step, device and browser.

Lost Station: Lightkeeper

2 players · English · 4 US Letter player sheets
Complete edition LIGHTKEEPER-EN-2.2. Optional on-screen tools can be used by one player.

1. Open the files on a computer

Download the ZIP to a desktop or laptop and extract it completely. On Windows, choose Extract All. On a Mac, double-click the ZIP. Open the extracted game folder, then open START.html in your browser.

Do not run the game inside a ZIP preview. Keep all five files together: START.html, READ-ME.txt, Start-Here.pdf, Player-Props-Letter.pdf and Solutions.pdf.

The downloaded game contains its code, artwork and sound. Playing does not require a network connection, player account, subscription or AI key. Use a computer browser with JavaScript enabled; phones are not supported as the game device.

2. Print the US Letter prop pages

For the intended paper co-op setup, prepare two players, one computer, a printer, four sheets of paper, scissors and a pencil. Read Start-Here.pdf first.

All supplied PDFs use US Letter size (8.5 × 11 in). Print all four pages of Player-Props-Letter.pdf on US Letter paper, single-sided, in portrait orientation, at 100% / actual size. Turn off Fit to page and automatic scaling. Check the 50 mm scale on page 2 before cutting. You can read the setup and solution guides on screen.

3. Divide the clues and keep the rules

  • Navigator: keep page 1 intact. Cut out the outer alphabet wheel on page 3 and keep its instruction card.
  • Engineer: cut out the mask and its six windows on page 2, keeping the window labels and separate rule card. Cut out the inner wheel on page 4 and keep the radiation map and checkpoint rules below it.
  • Keep every card and map marked KEEP. Do not discard these with the paper scraps.
  • Centre the inner wheel inside the outer wheel's pale guide circle. Hold the centre gently while turning it. No rivet, transparency sheet or cutting machine is required.

4. Start the mission

Choose Set up paper co-op on the start screen. Keep your assigned clues separate and explain what you see to each other. Use the computer console to enter answers and submit your planned route. The paper materials provide the information needed for all puzzle stages.

If you cannot print or want to operate the game alone, choose Play with on-screen tools. Open the digital assistance panel during each stage to view the two roles' materials. This is the same complete fixed mission, not an additional story.

5. Use hints and keep a progress backup

Hints are revealed in stages. The final hint gives the answer. In Solutions.pdf, page 1 contains hints and page 2 contains full solutions.

The game attempts to save progress and your chosen call signs on the current device. When a saved mission is available, use the option to continue it. Moving the game files, changing browsers or clearing browser data can affect this saved copy.

Open Help & progress and choose Export progress. Keep the downloaded JSON file. Choose Import progress in the same game version to restore your mission. This is a local file backup, not a cloud account. Progress files from a different edition are not compatible.

If automatic saving is unavailable, the game displays a warning. Export a progress file before closing. Clear progress and restart removes the current mission and call signs after confirmation; it is different from continuing a saved mission.

Common fixes

  • START.html opens as text: right-click it and choose Open with, then select your computer browser.
  • A PDF link cannot find its file: check that all five files remain in the extracted folder. You can also open the PDF directly.
  • The props do not line up: use US Letter paper and the same 100% print scale for every page; check the 50 mm reference first.
  • No sound: click the sound control and check your computer volume. Your browser may require a click before playing audio. Sound is optional and is not needed to solve the puzzles.
  • Simultaneous keys are inconvenient: use the final stage's separate-confirmation option so each role can confirm in turn.
  • A saved mission is missing: return to the original browser and file location, or import your saved progress file into the same game version.

For a download or file problem, use our contact page and include the product name, order number, device, browser and a brief description. Do not send passwords or payment card details.

The Impossible Post Office

1 adult · English · 5 US Letter player sheets
Complete edition 1.0.1. Work with the paper records, make three connected deliveries and receive one last letter.

1. Download and open your folder

Extract the whole ZIP. On Windows choose Extract All; on a Mac double-click the ZIP. Keep these four files together: Start.html, Print.pdf, Read-me-first.txt and Solutions.txt. Do not run the game inside a ZIP preview. Keep Solutions.txt closed to avoid spoilers.

2. Prepare five paper sheets

You need five ordinary US Letter sheets (8.5 × 11 inches), a printer, a pen or pencil, and a desktop computer with Chrome and JavaScript enabled. Print all five pages of Print.pdf, single-sided, in black and white, at Actual Size / 100%. Turn off Fit to page. No scissors, glue or special paper is needed.

Keep pages 1 and 2 ready. Put pages 3–5 face down until the post office asks for them. Keep every sheet through the evening.

3. Take the counter

Open Start.html in desktop Chrome, then choose Take the returned letter. Begin with page 1. Work with the paper records and enter each delivery decision at the digital counter. The story tells you when to bring out the next materials.

The game resources are included in the download. No game account, outside clue search or extra paid chapter is required. A4 paper, phones, tablets and other browsers are outside the intended scope.

4. Pause or ask for help

There is no automatic save. After a successful investigation, write down the chapter code before closing or refreshing. Reopen Start.html, choose Returning? and enter your code. It restores completed deliveries, replies and earned items; keep your paper notes separately.

Ask for a hint reveals one level at a time. The final level is labelled Show solution. Wrong attempts do not consume items or force a reprint. You can reread completed replies under Letters kept at the counter.

If something does not open

  • If the PDF link fails, open Print.pdf directly from the extracted folder.
  • If Start.html opens as text, use Open with → Google Chrome.
  • If the fold does not line up, check US Letter paper and the same 100% print scale, then reread the folding directions.
  • There is no audio to turn on; the bell’s change appears in the story and scene.

For help, email hello@goodtokeep.com with “The Impossible Post Office 1.0.1”, the step involved and your computer/Chrome version. For printing, include the paper size and scale. You do not need to share the name on your final receipt.

The Thirteenth Lot

2–4 adults · English · 11 player sheets in A4 or US Letter
Complete edition 1.0.1. One shared computer and one table; no host or secret roles.

1. Open the folder

Extract the entire ZIP into one folder. Keep its files and subfolders together. Read QUICK-START.txt, then open START-HERE.html in desktop Chrome with JavaScript enabled. Keep SPOILERS-ANSWERS.txt closed until you want full solutions.

After download and extraction, the game runs offline with no account, subscription or external service. It is intended for desktop Chrome on a laptop or desktop.

2. Print one paper-size set

Choose Player-Sheets-A4.pdf or Player-Sheets-Letter.pdf. Each has 11 pages; print one complete set, not both, and do not mix the paper sizes.

Print single-sided at 100% / Actual Size using the same scale for every sheet. Turn off Fit or Shrink. Essential clues work in black and white; colour is optional. Illustrated pages use more ink than plain text pages.

Bring ordinary paper, scissors and a pencil; tape is optional. No pins, transparent sheets, special cutting equipment or double-sided alignment are needed. The map squares on sheet 7 should measure 84 mm per side; the selector squares on sheet 8 should measure 36 mm. Check the matching paper size and print scale if they do not.

3. Enter the auction together

Place the computer where everyone can read it. Read sheet 1 and browse catalogue sheets 2–4. Leave later sheets numbered and follow the current inspection’s directions.

When asked, cut only the four large squares on sheet 7 and three small squares on sheet 8. Keep all seven pieces and the repair slips; leave the other pages intact. Share useful observations aloud and swap records freely. The story advances when you act.

4. Use hints and save your progress

Each inspection has three levels of hints. Optional assisted recovery reveals the explanation and fills a draft; you still compare your paper evidence and submit the decision.

The browser attempts to save after each action. Read the storage status and export a save before closing if it reports session-only storage. Export also helps before moving the folder, changing device or clearing browser data.

Export provides a JSON file and text you can copy. To restore a JSON file, open it in a text editor, copy its full contents into the Save text box and choose Restore pasted save. Use a save from this complete 1.0.1 edition; prototype, demo and other-game saves are incompatible. Restoring does not submit a pending final action.

Common fixes

  • The game is missing images or does not open: keep the scripts and assets subfolders beside START-HERE.html, and use desktop Chrome with JavaScript enabled.
  • Printed pieces do not align: print the same paper-size set at 100%, check the 84 mm and 36 mm squares, and do not rescale individual pages separately.
  • A save download does not appear: copy the generated save text and keep it in a private text file before closing.

For help, email hello@goodtokeep.com with The Thirteenth Lot 1.0.1, your device and browser, and the page or inspection involved. Do not add personal or payment information to a save.

The Vanishing Sunday

1 player · English · 4 US Letter player sheets
Complete edition 1.0.0. A short story mystery with light deduction, paper folding and a farewell to reconstruct.

1. Open the folder

Extract the complete ZIP and keep START.html, the PDFs and the assets folder together. Read Start-Here.pdf. Keep Solutions-SPOILERS.pdf closed until you want help.

2. Prepare your table

Bring a desktop or laptop with Chrome and JavaScript enabled, a PDF reader, a printer, four ordinary US Letter sheets, scissors, a pencil and an ordinary coin.

Print only Print-Props-Letter.pdf: all four pages, single-sided, at Actual Size / 100%. Turn off Fit or Shrink. Monochrome printing is supported; A4 is not supported.

Read sheet 1. Keep sheet 2 whole and flat. Cut and join the photo halves on sheet 3, or compare them on the sheet with pencil. Keep every piece. Cover the lower card with sheet 1 and keep sheet 4 face down until the story asks. Do not cut fold guides or interior holes.

3. Begin Sunday

Open START.html in desktop Chrome and choose Begin Sunday. Keep your paper beside the screen and follow the printed directions when folding or reconstructing. The extracted game works offline with no account or app installation. Sound is optional and carries no essential clue.

Phones, tablets, other browsers and cooperative play are outside this edition’s intended scope.

4. Pause and keep a backup

Open Help / notes / backup for hints, typed notes and backup controls. Progress saves in the same browser when storage is available. Save typed notes before exporting, and export a JSON backup before moving the folder, changing browsers or clearing data.

Reopen the same START.html in the same browser to continue, or choose Restore a complete 1.0.0 backup. Sample-edition backups are incompatible. Match the physical map to the displayed declaration and keep your discovered papers and notes. If storage is unavailable, export before closing.

Common fixes

  • Background missing: keep the assets folder beside START.html.
  • Game does not respond: enable JavaScript and reopen it in desktop Chrome.
  • PDF does not open: extract the whole ZIP again and open the PDF directly in a PDF reader.
  • Fold does not line up: check US Letter and the same 100% print scale, then follow the diagram on the player sheet.
